Founded in 1982 in California by Mike Graham, a climber out of the Yosemite Stonemasters circle. The name is an old nickname of his, picked up during an attempt to climb Half Dome as an "all-Italian" party – though none of them were Italian. His G-Pant has a gusseted crotch and a webbing belt you can open one-handed: built to climb in, not to look good. Which is exactly what later brought it into the city.
