Founded in 2015 in Dayton, Ohio, by Chad Bowers, a year after Alien Workshop – where Bowers had worked – shut down. Jake Johnson, Gilbert Crockett and Tyler Bledsoe came along. The company launched as "Mother" with the line "no more corporate blues"; a cease-and-desist forced the name change, and nothing else about it changed. The graphics are surreal and muted, often by Will Gaynor.
