Founded in 1924 by brothers Harold and Wallace Humphreys in Wilmslow, England, starting in a cupboard in their parents' pub; the name is short for "Humphreys Brothers". The company is based in Manchester. Umbro kitted out English clubs for decades – both teams wore Umbro in the 1934 FA Cup final – and terrace culture carried the double diamond from the stadium to the street.
