Founded in 1993 by Ed Templeton, under the Tum Yeto distribution in California. Templeton is an artist and photographer – his exhibitions run independently of skateboarding – and Toy Machine has been the surface for that for over 30 years: the Sect monster, scrawled drawings, videos in the same DIY hand. Most people who rode for Toy Machine started with Templeton himself.
