Founded in 2007 by Joey Tershay and Steve "Shrewgy" Ruge, both in skateboarding since the 80s. The stated goal was a more durable truck, which sounds simple on paper and took years in practice. Ace pushed through the lean early years and slowly built a team. Joey Pulsifer came on as a third partner in 2017 and worked on strength and function; in 2021 the AF1 followed – the strongest cast truck the company had built to that point.
