Founded in 2000 in Cologne under the name Sleibnir; since 2006 the brand has been called Robotron – after the East German Robotron combine from Dresden. Sleibnir already made things like colouring-book decks with wax crayons shrink-wrapped to them; the humour stayed. Prices are deliberately low, the company is skater-run and sponsors German contests and demos.
