Founded in 2011 by Pontus Alv in Malmö. Alv had spent years before that on self-built DIY spots and his own videos – "The Strongest Of The Strange", "In Search Of The Miraculous" – closer to art film than skate clip. Polar carried that on: wilful shapes, painted graphics, black-and-white photography. Together with the videos it went on to shape a whole generation of European brands.
