About Girl Skateboards

Founded in 1993 in Los Angeles after Mike Carroll, Rick Howard and other riders left World Industries. Part of the reason, per Howard, was simply that pro skaters should have a future – the industry reacted with open hostility at the time. The logo is the pictogram off a women's restroom door. Girl grew into Crailtap, with Chocolate and a run of videos ("Mouse", "Yeah Right!") that shaped a generation.
